Performance in Action

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon - Chicago

The question at the recent Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Chicago was “What Are You Eating?” And, the answer was, “Potatoes!”

Potatoes fueled performance at the recent Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon in Chicago. The event, which took place from July 20 – 22, drew 16,000 racers and thousands of additional spectators from all over the country and world, making for a diverse audience and a great platform to reach athletes with our powerful “Potatoes. Real Food. Real Performance.” message.

The event provided the opportunity for Potatoes USA to talk one-on-one with athletes about the nutrition and benefits of potatoes at both the pre-race expo and the finish line. With an impactful “What Are You Eating” branded booth at the expo, attendees enjoyed samples of Potato Poppers with Turmeric and received a performance recipe booklet to inspire them to make delicious potato recipes for their next race.

Racers and spectators at Sunday’s Finish Line Festival fueled up at the Potatoes USA booth with Potato Energy Bites. They were also able to take a post-race photo in the Potatoes USA photo booth that they could then share on social media.

Attendee feedback was extremely positive, with several athletes commenting on how excited they were to see “real food” at the event and how delighted they were to learn that potatoes could help fuel them to perform at their best.
